Excellent Informative Read

In regards to content, this is a great overview of the current state of technologies and issues in cancer genomics. Highly informative and well laid out, the key concepts allow for easy navigation for students to gain information. I especially like the mast heads which have fascinating attention to detail which add to the interesting read.

Although I agree with the first review that there is a need to be careful with the binding being tight as it is slightly delicate, this should not deflect attention away from it being an excellent resource. I would recommend this to anyone interested or studying the area of cancer genomics.

Overzealous with the knife

I like this book. In fact I've purchased 2 copies both shipped in separate orders. Unfortunately, both copies have the same defect. If you open the front cover the pages have all been cut away from the spine but only in front. Very strange. Not sure if I will keep it or use some strapping tape to tape the collection of pages back to the front of the book. the content is very good.

He uses the concept of liminality to illuminate the central features of the war experience: the separation from 'home': the experience of pollution, death, comradeship, and 'the uncanny': and the ambivalence of returning veterans about civilian society. In a final chapter Professor Leed assesses the long-term political impact of the front experience. He finds that the end of hostilities did not mean the end of the war experience as much as the beginning of a process by which that experience was framed, institutionalized, celebrated and relived in political action as well as in fiction.
