Dallas Willard's Divine Conspiracy for everyday people.

If you read only one book this year this is the one! So much is explained in Ray's book regarding the condition of the church and the reputation of church-going people. As Ray points out many have forged a relationship with a religion and not a genuine relationship with the person that the religion is all about. Chapter after chapter engages the heart and the head through excellent stories, understandable outlines, and page turning insights. This is like Dallas Willard's Divine Conspiracy for the everyday person. If you are frustrated at Christians then read this book and understand why you're frustrated. If you want to live more like Jesus and less like a bunch of disingenuous followers then read this book. Do you lead a church? Attend a church? Not sure what on earth the church is for? Then read this book. It will cause you to raise the bar while you cling to God's grace.

I love Ray's straightforward and clear way of presenting how Jesus wants us to live out our faith. His willingness to share his own life experiences lend credibility to the power of this books content. I highly recommend this book.
